The "Las Cosas de la Iglesia" had its soft-opening as part of the "Talamdan Exhibit" at the Negros Museum last January 29, 2021. It features, among others, items from the Museo Diocesano of the Diocese of Bacolod.
Rev. Fr. Roy Christian Gesulgon, Chancellor and Ms. Sandy Solinap of the Museo Diocesano represented the Diocese of Bacolod at the event.
Ms. Betsy Gazo, exhibit consultant, explained that this exhibit is just in time for the Quincentennial celebrations. She expressed her gratitude to the Diocese for participating in the exhibit.
Among the items on display are the cathedra of Bishop Fortich, a model of the Sta. Maria Magdalena Parish Church, a wooden bell holder, old images of mga Santo, an antique Baptismal Record -- to name a few.
The exhibit area is located at the second floor of the Negros Museum.
Also in attendance at the soft launch were Ms. Marilyn Gamboa, President of the Negros Cultural Foundation and religious art benefactor Mr. Joemarie Sy.
