As the world celebrates February 14 as Valentine's Day, seminarians of Sacred Heart Seminary-Bacolod and youth ministers in the parishes came up with their own take of a “Date with the Lord”.
Seminarians and priest-formators performed love songs in a concert dubbed as “Ang Labing Dako nga Gugma at the Sacred Heart Shrine, Lizares Avenue, Bacolod City. Very Rev. Fr. Ronald S. Quijano, SThD, Rector of Sacred Heart Seminary-Bacolod and Shrine, led the community in Lupit in an evening of songs and sharing.
In the parishes, various youth groups also organized activities for Heart’s Day.
A talk for the youth was given by Franz Marvin Duhaylungsod of the Diocesan Commission on Youth Core Group at the St. Francis Mission Station in Brgy. Bulubito-on, Hinigaran.
On its second year, the San Pedro Bautista Parish in Brgy. Dos Hermanas, Talisay City held its “Stages of Love: Language of Love” wherein young people had the chance to share experiences, listen to a talk and interview and showcase their talents.
There were also similar youth gatherings in the Sta. Maria Magdalena Parish in Hinigaran, the San Juan Nepomuceno Parish in Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod City, the San Diego de Alcala Parish and the Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Parish in Silay City.
