In a simple hand-over ceremony on March 10, 2022, Bishop Patricio A. Buzon, SDB DD receives a Plaque of Appreciation for DYAF –Radyo Totoo from the Department of Education – Schools Division of Silay in relation to the existing Radio Broadcast Instruction (RBI) Project between by the diocese and the DepEd.
The plaque is in recognition of the contribution of DYAF radio in the broadcast of DedEd modules for the benefit of the local communities during this time of the COVID pandemic.
The Plaque of Appreciation is signed by Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the School Division Superintendent, Dr. Novelyn M. Vilches, who was represented during the turn-over rite by Mr. Roy Balinas, Project Development Officer II.
According to Balinas, recently, the City Government of Silay has provided 10,000 radio sets for the ongoing RBI Project.
He also noted that the newly installed DYAF transmitter has greatly helped in reaching more students, especially those in the far-flung barangays of Silay to gain access of the RBI modules.
